Different venues over the years
|Written by Anthony Guerriero on
Over the years that we have been together and walking this path, we have done alot of media work. The list is extensive and began around 1991, the year before Salem's Tercentenary celebration. That year, we began our work in service to educating the public about who we are and what we practice as a spiritual path and way of life. Back then, the WLPA was a very active organization, and had quite a few dedicated people on staff. Salem's claim to fame was molded during this time period. Media from all over the world descended into Salem that year and everywhere you turned and tuned into was about Salem. Our first coverage with the media was a multi-task venture with Le Figaro magazine from France and a Japanese film crew doing "American Lifestyle News". To this day, the translation from that program is still sketchy, to say the least. The lists of College TV and newspaper articles is as vast as the international TV and film crews we have worked with over the years. From candids to actual interviews, there are so many it has us in awe. If we got compensation for each and every one we would be rich today. It was not about the money, though, it was about something bigger. To date, the one that brings us the most pride is: "Intimate Portraits: Witches". First aired in 1995, we began working with the crew in February of that year. Even today, that video is still available and something that we both are proud to have worked on. We have in our possession, some of the many copies of the videos that we worked on. And there are so many that we would love to get our hands on. It is a rather unique feeling, to say the least, when someone walks up to you and announces that they saw you on TV last night. The one thing we can honestly say, is that each and every program had a different feel to it. It is never easy, and you can't even begin to know just how it will turn out until it finally does air. The Vicki Lawrence show in 1993 was quite an experience, and Chronicle in 1991. Like everything in life, the more you do it, the better you become at it. Some of the later programs we've done were some of the best, and trying to get hold of them for our collection is just as hard. There was a BBC interview that was done a few years ago that we would love to get our hands on, but are unable to. From newspaper articles and editorials to radio interviews and broadcasts, it's all there. Tony is in the process of documenting and putting together as complete a list as possible for the memoirs of PRANCE. It is something that he has been working on since last year in 2007. That was his inspiration for PTWP and is where we are at in this point in time on our journey. Time limits my ability to finish this page at this particular moment, but more will be added as time allows. For now, though, we hope that we will be able to continue with this positive, and productive means of letting the world know just who we are and what we practice on this spiritual journey and way of life known as "the Craft". In her honor.
