Today is Sunday November 22nd, 2009. The Moon is first quarter, waxing in Aquarius. The Sun has just entered Sagittarius. Last weekend we put on our first of many to come "Pagan coffeeehouse's". We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait until the next one in January 2010. With Yule right around the corner, we generally take this time to catch up on all of the things we don't get to pay attention to the rest of the year. This is a much needed respite as, we are planning quite a bit to kick off 2010. So stay tuned. Right around Yule, this year, we'll be putting out our first annual, "Year in Review" newsletter. It's been a long-time coming, but, we believe it will make these pages finally. This past year has been alot of fun, and a very productive year. We are hoping that this new year will surpass the last, and bring some new energies with it.

 

We pulled our "Tarot card of the Week" yesterday, from our Arthurian deck, A Keeper of Words". It was the Four of Swords, it's entitled; Isolt of the White Hands. The suit Swords is associated with the element of Fire. It relates to taking action, doing what's necessary to move forward. In the cards meaning, it is also about healing; taking the time away to recuperate. Finding a place in your life where you can regroup, and plan your next strategy. This time of the year has alot of significance to that. After all, the dark half of the year is the time to journey inward. While this past year was a good one, not everything went totally the way it was supposed to. In life, that is the case way more often than most care to admit to. When you take the time necessary to go over these times, you allow yourself the ability to heal, and rebuild the strength to move on from the past. As much as we would love to be able to say everything is as it should be, that is not always going to happen. Realistically speaking, the latter is more apt to be the norm. The true magician is able to adapt to this and compensate for it. That is what the Craft laws teach us, in the Law of Transmutation. To take a negative situation and turn it around to our benefit. That is what "magic" is all about. So with this in mind, we found that the cards were telling us to take the time to clear our minds and re-evaluate our plans ahead. It's amazing how much you can get from tapping into the energies all around us. The more important lesson, however, is following the advice that's being given to you from the cards, or whatever means you choose to work with. See you next week.
