To the News from PTWP. Today is Saturday August 15th, 2009. The Moon is fourth quarter, waning, in Gemini. It is the Celtic tree month of Hazel. Hazel-nuts were sacred to the Celts, as they symbolized wisdom. It was said that to eat hazel-nut, could help to attain wisdom. One of the ways that we learn, is to look back at what we have done, where we have been, and where we hope to go from here. Granted, this is what Samhain is about, but, we are rapidly approaching the second harvest. The Witches Thanksgiving, Mabon, is about, coming into, and getting ready for the third and final harvest. That journey into the darkness ahead. With that, balance is one of the necessary ingredients to better acheiving harmony. This is something that we never forget here at PTWP. There is always a fair share of trying times to offset the good things that come our way. Over-positive can be as detrimental to oneself as too much negativity. That is one of the messages that we get at this time of the year. The Wise Witch utilizes the past to help learn from these experiences.
Looking back to this date, 28 years ago, Tia and I began our journey together. August 15th, is our wedding anniversary. Today, to this very day, is our 28th year, married. Looking back, it has been a very interesting journey that we have been on over the years. So much to be thankful for, and how many lessons we have had to learn. Sometimes, even more than once. I have said this many times before, and I'll stand by it, as well, "one of my best accomplishments has been my family". The second thing that has been an accomplishment in my life is my spiritual path, The Craft, that has helped me to grow, so much. Prance, The Witches Path, and now, Prance The Witches Path, have been a major source of inspiration for me. Many times, keeping me focused when I wondered " what am I doing with my life, where am I going from here, and why am I allowing this in my life?" Mainly, because, all that I have to offer, is this. Sharing what I have experienced in my life, that helped me to become who and what I am today. This came to me through the years, of dedication, hard work, and a strong belief in this way of life. We are embarking on our second year, as, Prance The Witches Path, and our fourteenth year since the onset of Prance. It has been an incredible journey, full of ups-and-downs, taking me to places I never dreamed I'd go. Was it worth it? I think so, it's helped me to be "Me". Along with my girls and my wife, what a wonderful journey this has been.
Thinking ahead, at this next year at PTWP, we have alot in store. Next weekend, we will post our "Upcoming Events" through the end of 2009. Tia and I have been working diligently planning our schedule. We are looking forward to an even bigger year ahead, and hope that even more people will join with us in celebrating another years journey. We are forever in the service of the Lord and the Lady. In love and light.
