Today is Monday August 3rd, 2009. The Moon is second quarter, waxing in Capricorn. I am on one of my vacation days, resting up from the first harvest, Lammas. This weekend, we turned the Wheel of the Year, once again. It was another magical time, as always. Saturday we ventured out to Norfolk, Ma. to do our Lammas ritual and celebration, afterwards. We camped
out overnight and truly enjoyed ourselves. Every sabbat that we get together, the energies are always so wonderful. Sunday night, we joined with Christian and Lori for "Blog Talk" radio on Hex Education. We really enjoyed doing the show. It's just one of the many gifts that seem to come up that help to offset the trials that we sometimes have to endure in the service of the Lord and the Lady. (This path is not all white light....it has it's fair share of obstacles along the way.)
The topics we touched on meant alot to us. Having been at this for awhile now, and putting so much energy into it, it sometimes feels like it goes unnoticed. Especially, the Salem Witch Village, having not been there since 2004. Every so often, everyone needs a little reminder that, what you're striving to achieve is appreciated, even if only a few really seem to notice. We are heading into our fourteenth year, since PRANCE was birthed. The Salem Witch Village was where it all began! Around Ostara, 1996, and then on April 4th, 1996, the newly re-created tour at the Village. It's hard to conceive that after all this time, it's still there. The energies that the five of us put into that place will never dissipate. The artwork, so magnificent, by Mulysa; as well as her well-thought out version of the tour, adding Dina's knowledge of the history factors; and of course, Kathy, who along with Marie and myself, were instrumental in getting the owners to consider the project. We all came together to help create, what is still there today, one of Salem's first tours of Modern-day Witchcraft, the Salem Witch Village. It was quite an achievement! Even if we may not totally agree with the direction that it took afterwards, we are still an integral part of where it came from. And, as I said before, our energies will always be there, even if we are not.
It's funny how things happen. The ties that bind us all together are never really broken. Even though we are not in Salem at this time, we are still there in spirit. We really have sown quite a few seeds over the years, and harvested a few accomplishments. Prance The Witches Path, which began as PRANCE, back in 1996, to the Witches Path, in 2003, and now PTWP in 2009. This is our first year as Prance The Witches Path, but our thirteenth year in their service. It started with the two of us, but so many have helped along the way to make it what it is today. We have been blessed with a bountiful harvest, and this journey just seems to get better every day. We are forever in the service of the Lord and the Lady. In love and light.
