3/1/2009I have been extremely busy this past journey into the darkness. Finding out so much about the inner realms of my being. Expressing myself through this site, and PTWP, has been a truly rewarding time in my life. The classes, the sabbat celebrations, and all of the other venues have kept me constantly going. My writing has been minimal, and I have missed it. Even finding time to update the web-site is a challenge at times, but, I wouldn't change it for anything. I found some time recently to write a short poem about the Elements, so without further ado, I'd like to share it on this page.
"In the East, we welcome the element of Air,
the graceful, bird soaring without any care.
The butterfly, and the sylph, their beauty, so fair,
and the gentle spring breezes on our faces, we share.
The realm of communication, the intellect, the conscious mind;
abilities to be compassionate, gentle, and kind.
When seen clearly, no one is blind,
moving onward to the South, the passion, we'll find.
In the South, we welcome the element of Fire,
realm of our passion, will, and desire.
The warmth that we feel of the noon-day Sun.
Our creative juices, and energy-flows are one,
with the drive, and motivation to get done,
all of the things in life, we know to be fun.
Continuing our journey, our own little quest,
we travel on now, on this path, to the West.
In the West, we welcome the element of Water,
the peace we find in this elemental quarter.
Here we find the home of the subconscious realm,
the emotions, intuition, psychic ability at the helm.
This is where we all know the best,
that all we love, will come, to find their rest!
At the end of the day, the Sun will set here,
and yet, another day, once again, will reappear.
Heading on from here, we come to the North,
where all that was hidden, soon will spring forth.
In the North, we welcome the element of Earth,
home of the Great Mother, and place of our birth.
This is the material, and the physical plane,
the place where we all dwell, and will humbly remain!
Here we find the cold, and the darkness within,
but we know of the cycle, that soon will begin.
Once again bringing the warmth back into our lives,
and as always, continually thrives.
Which brings us back to the innermost shrine,
deep within each and everyone of us, is the Spirit, divine!!!
