1/11/2009 Turquoise has the most beautiful shades of blues and greens! It can also be brown. No matter the color it is a stone with wonderful properties and energies. Turquoise has long been praised and adorned by the Native Americans. Many pieces of the most beautiful jewelry have been crafted by native people. Turquoise has been referred to as the gift of Mother Earth with the conjoining colors of Father Sky.
Turquoise is a stone for healing, protection and love. In matters of impending danger or infidelity, the color of the stone has been known to change as a sign or warning. In matters of healing turquoise is an excellent stone which aligns All the chakras. It also promotes mental and spiritual clarity. It has been known to be helpful with communication in writting and speech.
Turquoise can also enhance psychic powers. It is a stone of wisdom, understanding, kindness and beauty. It helps to balance male/female energies and has also been known to enhance romantic love.
Turquoise given as a gift is known to bring "Good Luck".
Turquoise is associated with the astrological signs of Sagittarius, Pisces and Scorpio. Though I am a Taurus I am very attracted to this stone and it's beautiful colors. I have some turquoise set in rings and earrings and also a cuff.
When we met our first new vet here on the South Shore I was intrigued by his adornment of silver jewelry! He not only had a gorgeous turquoise set in a silver ring but also a large silver cuff with a magnificent blue turquoise. It seemed most appropriate as he is a healer. I wondered if he knew the properties of this wonderful stone or was just drawn to it's beautiful soothing energy. I was not only impressed with his medical skill but also with his kind and calm nature.
