Welcome to the educational section of Tia's Root Cellar! Long ago in Witchcraft class I embarked on a magickal journey of the mind. There I envisioned a place where I would work my magick...study my interests and find solace! That journey to the place in my mind is my own unique magickal space. I travel there often, especially in the winter months, contemplating my work as the Hermit guides me! So here is a little bit of magick that happens in the depths of my Root Cellar..So...look for the largest tree in the forest, surrounded by toad stools and woodland greenery. Look carefully..you will see an entrance..enter..careful it is dark and a steep trek down....to the inner Earth. Here surrounded and protected by the roots of this magickal tree is my place! Candles burning, sweet smell of patchouli, herbs drying and crystals glowing.....Welcome!
Diamonds! A Girls' Best Friend & King Of Crystals..................
Though it has been said that diamonds are a girls best friend..I would have to say it all depends on the girl! There are so many beautiful stones that for sure many people like myself have more than one favorite. But..I must say once again that a diamond is significant to me as my birth month is April and that is the stone associated with this month. Now..there are some people who will say that according to my astrological sign Taurus and my actual birthday April 28th that my birth stone is emerald, actually lol I don't mind having either one of them! But out of the two it is the diamond that catches my eye! Sparkly...glowing prisims of light reflecting and refracting all the colors of the rainbow...Absolutely beautiful. There is no doubt in my mind as to why the diamond is referred to as The King Of Cyrstals.
Diamonds have long been associated with the sign of wealth. Though this may be true as a good diamond is very expensive, they also have so many wonderful qualities. Diamonds come in many different colors. They also have a graded system known as the four C's Color, Cut, Clarity & Carat. These factors are a determination in not only their price, but their magickal uses as well. Colored diamonds magickally would correspond with the intent of the color used. Because many people think that a diamond is colorless they are surprised to see diamonds in colors like, blue, yellow, red, green and black!
Diamonds are a very protective stone. The diamond is the hardest stone as far as it's composition goes. It is actually able to cut glass! The diamond also reflects and projects..much like a mirror spell! It is known as a stone of strength and many people liken it's brilliance to the sun. Diamonds are known to enhance the actions and energies of other stones when among them. Many people thru the ages have worn diamonds as talismans for protection and courage.
Diamonds are also known as a stone of purity and love. Since the ancient times a diamond given freely was a sign of a pledge of love, harmony and fidelity...hence the engagement ring. It has been said that a diamond is forever and thru the years the diamond enhances it's energies for strength and unity.
Diamonds have also been used to help with one's clarity. They also inspire imagination and creativity. Diamonds can be used magickally to also accumulate abundance in all areas of life.
Diamonds to me have always represented fidelity and union. On my finger is the wedding band that my father gave to my mother on their 25th wedding anniversary. Upon my mother's death I had placed on her finger my wedding band which was actually her original one. This act was to symbolize my love for her thru eternity and as a promise that we will be together again. She was buried with that ring and left to me in her will, the ring I now wear. To me this symbolisim was significant and I know she will show me a sign when it is time for her to do so.
