1/1/2009Greetings;
Today is Thursday January 1st, 2009. The Moon is first quarter, waxing in Pisces. It is the Celtic tree month of Birch, which is the first tree of the Celtic tree year. It's associated with new beginnings, and working with devotion to the great Work. This is the work of those who have chosen to share the knowledge of our ways. That is the path that we chose, when we made our vows to the Lord and the Lady. It is the commitment that we have lived by, and shared with those who wished to learn. This new year, 2009, we here at PTWP, will be striving to continue to do this great work. One of my goals this year is to focus on the web-site even more. I am planning to utilize this space in its capacity as a medium of enlightenment. We will be sharing some of our learnings on these pages. What we offer on these pages is only a small percentage of what we are planning to share in our upcoming classes. Last year, we shared a little on the Celtic trees. This year, we will continue on with that subject, as well as some other areas. The first of these will be ...."The Planets".
(Time does not allow us the luxury of being able to spend a lot online, therefore, we will do this every opportunity we have available.)
Considering today is Thursday, it would only be fitting that we began with Jupiter. So, without further ado, here is our first installment for...."The Planets":
"Jupiter is often referred to as "the planet of expansion" or abundance. It is the largest planet in our solar system. It is the planet that rules Sagittarius, and is the side of you that is positive, energetic, and optimistic. On the other side of the spectrum, it is the excessive nature, when you are tempted to overdo. The elemental affinity of Jupiter is water. The number equated with it is 4....the square, and the four-pointed star. The eagle, the owl, swan, and the whale are some of the animals associated with Jupiter. The mythological creatures associated with it are the Centaur, the Unicorn, and the White Bull. The trees are all true Oaks, cedar, pine, sassafras, chestnut, hickory, maple, to name a few. Some of the herbs are flax, borage, green ti plant, agrimony, and sages. Incenses, and prefumes would include hyssop, clove, nutmeg, pine gum, and sassparilla. The metals would be; tin, zinc are a few. Gemstones might include; lapis lazuli, amethyst, turquoise, aquamarine, and labradorite. Some of the bodily functions affected or associated with jupiter's influences would be cellular development; the liver, and the intestines. Some afflictions might relate to high blood pressure, varicose veins, and anything related to the liver. Zeus is most often thought of when we think of deities and Jupiter.
The day of the week, the first planetary hour of Thursday would be Jupiter. All things that we would project for as far as abundance goes, expansion, would fall into Jupiter's category. As always, though, "Be careful what you ask, you just might get it"....an abundance of anything might be more than you bargained for. Especially if it's something you don't need anymore of in your life. On that note, I'd like to say "thank you", for visiting our web-site. We hope that you enjoy your time here, and come back to visit again. We are forever in the service of the Lord and the Lady. In love and light.
