Merry Meet and Welcome;

To the "Our Thoughts" section of the PTWP web-site. These are the pages that we like to utilize to talk about things of importance in our lives. Here is where we will discuss a lot of different subjects we hope that you will find educational, enlightening, and interesting. Our goal here at PTWP is to share some of what we have learned with others of like-mind. It's also a place where we can give credit to others who have worked unselfishly to educate, give back, and shared their knowledge with people of their interests. This page, today, we would like to take the time to acknowledge a very special place to us, Wolf Hollow.

From the very first time we went there, we felt a connection that was special. Our first visit to Wolf Hollow was back in either 1989 or 1990. It had just recently opened to the public, I believe, and our friend, Marie Kelley, was really excited about it. (She has since passed on into Sumerland, we miss her so much) We were studying together and she told us about this place where you could see these beautiful animals. With that, we made the journey to Ipswich to Wolf Hollow. It was everything that Marie had said and more. The energy of this magical place brought us back there over and over again. In time, we developed a relationship with Joni, Paul, and Zee Soffron, the founders of Wolf Hollow. Everytime we are there is as amazing as the first time, and in time, we were allowed the very special priviledge of interacting with these most amazing creatures on a closer level.

The bonds that were established over the years with the different wolves were truly special. To try to pick one very special wolf is next to impossible, as we had such a connection with all of them. The entire learning experience behind the work that is required to develop the bonds between humans and wolves is beyond comprehension. The dedication that has been displayed there is intense, it is truly a labor of love. Being able to be a part of that whole experience has helped me to grow as a person. Watching and listening to the staff's presentation, and the plight of these majestic animals, has taught me so much. To even begin to think that these proud, and beautiful animals were on the brink of extinction, is unthinkable. To see them right in front of your eyes, their sense of family, the pack working together to survive, helping to teach their young, is awe-inspiring. It is no wonder that the Native American peoples held these animals in such high esteem. The work that Wolf Hollow has done along side other places like the Hollow to achieve a temporary end to this senseless hunting of the wolf, is a chore all in itself. Then throw into this mix, taking care of and making sure that they are able to continue on, is one amazing feat. We here at PTWP, are proud to say that Wolf Hollow has been an inspiration to us! Joni, Zee, Paul, (who is running with the spirits of those beloved wolves who have passed on into the Otherworld) and Heidi, you are wonderful people, we love you. Thank you so much for being the kind of friends that make life wonderful.

Next Sunday, August 17th, 2008, PTWP will be making a field trip to Wolf Hollow. For anyone who has never had the opportunity to visit there, or who would just like to go back, you are welcome to come along. To join in on this very special journey, you can let us know in advance, either by e-mail or by calling us. All the pertinent contact information is available in our "Contact Us" section of the web-site. All this month, we will be featuring groups that have dedicated themselves to work above and beyond the norm. This is our way of saying "Thank you" to those who strive in trying times like these to light the spark of inspiration. To ignite the passion within all of us to overcome the adversities in our lives that we may or may not have control over. We are forever in the service of the Lord and the Lady. In love and light.
